Title: Rebuild Master Cylinder?

I noticed that the rubber boot (circled below) is pretty badly cracked. You can kinda see it in the picture below, but the flash hides a bunch of it.

Do I need to rebuild my master cylinder or replace that rubber boot?

not a major concern
get a new brake lever with the ball on the end....having one of them puncture you will be the start of a very bad day

crazy.... my 89 rubbers on the brake boot look perfect.

I already got new levers, but haven't installed them. I found the cracked boot when I went to install them last weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything about the ebay levers not fitting well, so we'll see how this goes.
