Title: replaced stock airbox, extra hose?
Post by: stevemac12073 on April 13, 2005, 11:29:55 AM
ok i finally took out my airbox and put in a k&n lunchbox. there is a hose that comes off the top of the engine and connects to the airbox. Now that the box is no longer there, what the heck do i do with the hose?  :dunno:

Thats the breather hose, what I did is put the stock on back on, then got a coupler and a smaller hose and ran it out the bottom of the bike.  You can also put a breather filter on it and then set it on top of the new air filter.  You could also get one long hose to run out the bottom of the bike, just do something otherwise you might have a mess of oil under your tank.

Cool.

Well I did what was in that print out ... open it and see ... better be sure. I forget ... whihc is why I ask for write up/print out with carbs from people man ... I cant look at the net when working on stuff ... If its all apart its a 2 min job. Heck even after it wont take you more than 5 mins with the allen head float screws ...

OK Take allen screws off the floats ad take off floats and look at the main jet numbers ... You may need a small mirror ... if it says 150 you are good. If 125 get a pair of 150's from a bike shop, or put air box and paper filter back in.
Cool.
