Title: Lost my key
Post by: higgimonster on April 14, 2005, 10:26:51 AM
Yep, I lost my key.  I was able to hot wire my bike using what I had: a lighter and a peice of wire.  I melted the insulation off of the red and orange wires and then wrapped the wire around them and it worked beautifully.  My question was where do I get a new key, and is there a way to get my seat off w/o the key?

yeah, youuse a screw driver from the oposite side of the key lock and manualy push the latch mechanism over,   and don't worry your not the first to do this.

A locksmith can cut you a new key, but you better bring the title with you.

As far as the seat, if it is the older style, you can reach up under the plastic just behind the lock and find the cable.  Once you find it, you can pull it hard enough to pop the release.  I had to do this a few times, and I never hurt the cable.
