Funny, I assumed he was stopped.

My first impression was the whole "the shadow KNOWS" thing

he was probably using his throttle lock (http://www.bbburma.net/ThrottleRetainer.htm).

Of course, he may have soldered together a complete autopilot system--he's crafty!

Yep.  At some point I was asked about the wingnut that's visible in the larger version of the picture that I posted on my trip page.  I said that it was my throttle lock, without which I couldn't have taken the picture!

Hey, when you're riding on a STRAIGHT road in the desert you have to get creative to stay alert....

Yup Kerry, that was me asking about the wingnut, but I may have been insinuating something about you possibly being a wingnut.   ;)

Gotta be to take pictures like that with your hands off the bars!

Ride safe and please set a good example for us newbies.

And I thought he was eating a sandwich, and the pic was taken from a low flying chopper!

   Good one Cal!

If it weren't for the awkwardness of the full-face helmet, I just might try it!

I feel alot better now. I thought I was being a little unsafe when I'd take my arms off the bars, move around, and just stretch a little sometimes. Since I wasn't taking pictures, eating a sandwich, or target shooting, I must have been safe. :thumb:

I thought he was playing a harmonica crusing down a long lonely highway in the desert. :thumb:

tisk tisk Kerry

not only are both hands off the bike (do you _really_ need both to take a picture?) you are actually looking toward the side too!

He's only going to drift just a liitle bit, but if he did have a problem, I would hope the camera is on a lanyard.

This post got the loudest laugh out of me!  Not sure why either.

It does look like he's having a snack.   Tea and strumpets!

If you'd watched "Dumb & Dumber" as many times as I have, you'd know I meant "Tea and Strumpets"!
