Title: MODS for my '04F
Post by: Organdoner on April 15, 2005, 06:30:27 AM
Forget about the NOS. I was reading the racers coner and it gave me some ideas. Can you tell me what brand they're useing and the price.
Keep in mind i'm looking for ease of instalation. Ok how does this sound..

Clip- on bars, Rear-set foot pegs, Carb jets, and a pipe, I saw a pic of a GS with a Yoshimura. what part number is that? Is it a full system? are there any full systems other then V&H? I whant to know what you have on your GS and how hard was it to put on? Did you have to modify anything?

Here is my F, all simple mods so far, the CBR tail section will be the hardest, My sig lists the mods. Also have some CBR Rearsets about to be installed along with some Suburban Machinery Bars, also a new 14t sprocket to be put on this weekend.

how did you paint your bike?  is that with spray cans?  if so what kind.  I love it.  I am probably going to paint mine soon.  I wish I had thought of the corona thing (I have a big corona logo on my jacket).  Oh well.

That tail section looks bad ass.  Can't wait to see it when it is done.

No sponsorships, yea I just like stickers and it goes good with my Joe Rocket Corona Jacket.

Yes spray paint, Duplicolor Truck, Van, and SUV flat black.

Going to work some more on the tail this weekend.

I second the choice on the Corona graphics! I was actually looking at them yesterday online - what were the measurements (length and height) of the stickers you ordered to get them to fit perfectly like that on the side fairings? The set I saw yesterday came 13.5" x 8.7" but I can get them resized if necessary.
Thanks,
Frank

did you use a matte clear spraypaint over the black?

Here is the Corona Kit that I bought, this guy has a lot more also.
12" x 7" , but the 13.5 will fit also, just angle it more.

No matte clear coat, the finish is more of a satin black instead of flat.

great.  |I can't wait to get my bike painted.  It is all scratched up on both sides.  Should look good in a few months.  How long does it usually take to dry?

with the 14t I should still get in the high 50's, when I went to a 15t I only lost about 2-3 mpg, but now I can just keep the front tire in the air so I will save $$ on front tires.

hmm....I've thought about putting those decals on my SV.....would have to get her painted first......and I'm no painter....I've tried....I'm impatient, and can't get it to look right.....if I can find somebody out here willing to do it for a fair price, I may just have to.....although I'd really like to find somebody to airbrush the bike....octane's flames just look sweet....
