hey guys, i went for a drive on the bike this morning and she just stopped on me, i had to get the truck and take her home, got home and checked the fuse on the right side of the battery box, and the fuse is blew, tryed another and blew that too, what would be wrong, It's the fuse that's inside the pink case rite beside the battery box. Thanks
From your description of the location of the fuse, by the battery, you have a 1989 model. All other years have the fuse on the start relay on the right side of the bike. Unless someone has modified the wiring.
89 fuse is behinf the battery box, all other years on the right of batt box.
OK that doesn't help your case any ... You should try and see if you got goats ... Look for connectivity to ground on any of the alternator lines.
Cool.
Srinath.
Sounds like you have a line shorting out on you! Verify that the battery line is not grounding out. Then check out the wires at the front of the fame where the forks connect. There is a spot that lines can be pinched and causes a short in the wires when the bike is in a tight turn. This area has a wired gaurd over the spot to help locate it easier. next check your connections to all components for a bad connection. Keep us posted, ok!
hey guys, I had put a fog light on the bike a while back and i guess the god damm thing fryed the fuse on me soo i disconnected the fog light and put a new fuse in it and then it worked fine but thanks guys.
TRY TO WIRE THOSE DIRECTLY TO THE BATTERY WITH A IN-LINE FUSE!
