Title: mild surging
Post by: jiggersplat on April 19, 2005, 07:35:17 AM
so my bike has been doing this for a while now, but it's not really significant so i haven't bothered to do anything about it.  i'm not particularly concrned, but i thought i'd bring it up and see if anyone had any ideas...

i'm experience *very* mild surging when cruising at around 5000rpm.  it's only barely audible.  i can't feel any accelleration or decelleration.  above or below 5000rpm, it doesn't happen, and when i give it any more gas than just enough to cruise, it doesn't happen.

my carbs are synched.  i suspect it is jetting.  i have a k&n pod and stock exhaust, but i don't remember what jets i put in, it was a while ago.  am i rich/lean?  do i need to turn my mixture screws in or out?  what's the deal?  should i even care?

Lean, needle up 1 washer. Check floats.
Cool.
