I can see it now...

Suzuki commercial:

"You wouldn't steal a car....you wouldn't steal someones purse...you wouldn't rob a bank...stealing is AGAINST the law...motorcycle manual downloading is stealing from suzuki!!!

Please buy suzuki motorcyles...and thankyou for hearing out this viable and life changing message!

;) ;) ;)

Piracy- i think not.
It'd have to be worth alot more than what Suzuki charges  for them to come after you. And since they're a foriegn company i'm sure they might have expanded fair use policy.  Besides, no one's profiting from putting that manual there.

regardless, it was a joke,
but to play the devil's advocate, "who makes a profit by allowing others to download music/movies/games from you in a peer to peer piece of software" ;)

OK cozy Your avatar is just insane ... I used to drive my wife nuts when I used to sing "Hope Dangles on a string" - spiderman 2 sound track right wiht Pope instead of Hope when he was ill, and before that Dope ...  I quite doing that as he got more serious ... but in any case you're in that same sinful area ... Worse for you ... I am not Christian ...
Cool.

Meaning me?    I'm busy trying to download the thing myself!  (I have paid for two copies of the Haynes manual so far, and I wouldn't mind having an electronic copy without taking the time to scan it myself.)

But the link is kinda "hung".  :(

PS - Good thing you didn't try to sell an electronic copy of the manual.  john was mad as a hornet when someone tried that a year or two ago.  I don't know - he may not approve of this angle either.  :dunno:

The electronic manual says it's for the years 89 to 97. I have a 99, will there be much difference?

I bought a Clymer and downloaded this one also. It said 10 hrs to complete, but actually only took about 1.5 hrs on a T1 line.

Yea i know if my poor mother only knew... I spent way too long in catholic school. Actually i'll change it when the tag line for the new pope comes out. He's supposed to be a real right winger - not that JPII wasn't. Haha i never even thought about that spiderman 2 song, but hey no lightning bolts yet.
if admins want me to change it i'm sure i can.... 8)
Title: 2004 one?
Post by: hoppers69 on April 20, 2005, 05:04:23 PM
Anyone know where I can get a 2004 GS500F manual?  and yes, I WOULD pay for it.  ;o)

Does Clymer have one?  I searched amazon and other sites and the amazon link from the mainpage of gstwins.com is only up to 2002.  Any help here?  Thanks!

I learned most of what I know about my '99 GS from that '89 to '97 manual.  I don't think anything changed from '96 to 2000 but the paint.

Conventional wisdom is to buy an aftermarket  manual that goes up through '02 and then buy the Suzuki '04 supplement manual through your dealer.

Thanks. I've been browsing through past threads and I figured that must be the case. Since my Clymer manual won't be here till Saturday probably, I'm using this online one to get some stuff done on the bike.

Just have to get used to words like "tyres." Those darn British and their funny english. ;)

I can't let this thread live much longer.  Seeing it's copywrighted material & all that stuff we aren't really allowed to keep it up for long so copy the link everybody who wants it, because I'm removing this thread after today.
