Title: Taking out starter motor
Post by: tres^ on April 19, 2005, 11:30:14 PM
So how hard is it? Just as unbolt the cover - take off the cam chain tensioner - remove the starter? Or are there something more to look out for? And is putting it back just as straightforward?
Please enlighten me.
TIA

a kan-o-tuna 400 rider, we havn't had one of those before,  yeah it is about that easy, sometimes the gears dont want to line up when you try ti put it back in but some wiggling and a few choice words will get it in there.

I took mine out and didnt do anything to the cam chain tensioner.  I also put it back in.
