Jean Luc Picard, post Bog capture (greatest Star Trek Next Genertion episode).
Yeah, I know I sound like a dork. I liked that show when I was in high school. I'm over it now.
Shut up!!!
Stop laughing!!!!!
If you are looking for real world examples, try:
Christopher Reeves
Terry Shiavo
Pretty much anybody with a pacemaker
Robocop

I've got screws in my right leg. Does that count?

The only thing we've ever agreed on. But, it must be the original, Peter Weller.
absolutely, Peter Weller's performance was outstanding. the guy from the third movie and the guy from the tv show don't bear mention.

"Efficient Repair"...well your screwed.... :nana:
I shaved my head once in college and I looked just liked Peter Weller in Robocop. You know the scene where Robocop takes of the front part of his helmet? Yeah, with a shaved head, I look like that.

Who was the cyborg that Jean Claude Van Dam fought?
SOLO!!!

Teen Titans is awesome. everyone should love that show.
Van Dam fought Fender in the movie Cyborg. His character's name was Gibson. It was an inside joke that all the character names were from guitars

Hugh. Love the Baby GS and the forum rocks.
C.......
musn't forget the cybermen.
My god people. You guys missed two of the greatest part man, part machine cyborgs ever.
- Bishop from Aliens
- and the epitome of all evil... Darth Vader
Quote from: mondo27The "Major" from Ghost in the Shell.
My vote's definately for the major. My money would be on her in a fight. Not that it could ever happen since she is an animated fictional character, but neither are any of the others mentioned.
Ah, shaZam!, now Bebe thinks I'm looking at weird cartoon porn on the net. I can't get a break. It's a friggin' cartoon depicting a cybernetic girl that...oh never mind. Love the little GS and the forum.
C.......
talking about the knife trick bishop right?
Sorry roguegeek, he was 100% android, just had un altered programing.
the first one was "ASH" he was the evil one.
Goat, i dont know, major is hot man, but Gally is a fighting broad from go.
check out "Gunnm" or "Battle Angel Alita" the first is the true Jap/anime name. the second is what it was titled when it came to america

For comic releaf H.E.R.B.I.E. from the Fantastic Four. Badass Robocop the guy smashes people through windows to get answears, shots a guy in the junk he kills rather then take prisoners, and he still calls him self a cop? Hell ya he should be on everybodys top five.

Anywhich way I'm troubleshooting, which is probably good because I'M A MECHANIC! I SEEM TO HAVE LOST VOLUME CONTROL! EXCUSE ME WHILE I GO FIGURE IT OUT!
so, emm... what the hell is a cyborg??
NERD ALERT!!
-from chris and amanda
CYBernetic ORGanism. Means it contains parts of organic and non-organic mechanisms. Half-human half-robot things. Love the little GS500, Atlantic Ocean, and this forum.
C.......
i know of someone who blew their arm off making a pipe bomb. he now has a mechanical arm. does this make him a cyborg?
what about that dog on tv who has no back legs so he walks on a wheelchair. is he a cyborg?
I think the cyborg is not a true cyborg until there is an actual neural connection between the organic and inorganic components...at least that's the way I understand it. I guess your bud and the pup would be rudimentary cyborgs. But I don't know if either one has an actual neural connection with the arm or the legs...I don't know them. If you look at it in some ways I guess you could say a motorcycle rider is a cyborg for a time. But there is no neural connection. Love the White Owl, Canada and this forum.
C.......
maybe with your bike. i think right, the bike goes right. think left, go left .. etc.

There's a pretty famous (at least locally) chinese restaurant in northern VA that has pictures of all the famous people who've eaten there. Among my friends and me, the table under Mario Van Peebles is known as the "Solo" table. God, that is a terrible movie. :thumb:
1) Steve Austin (it's the Six Million Dollar Man, Vtlion..you sold him short by 5 million!)
2) The Terminator
3) Robocop
4) Luke Skywalker, post Cloud City incident
5) Dr. Barney Clark (http://inventors.about.com/library/inventors/blartificialheart.htm)
I was thinking data from star trek but he wasnt a cyborg he was an android, same with bishop from aliens.
Robo cop is definatly up there
or that guy he fights in the second movie the drug dealer guy.
hmm cant think of anything that hasnt been said :guns:
with his new robotic exoskeleton, hands down, it goes to Mr. Hawking
http://www.photodump.com/viewer/97gs500e/hawking.html
I think JAX off of the old Motal Kombat game and TJ Combo off of Killer Instinct had some type of cybernetic implants in ther arms too if I'm not mistaken. I will have to go home and play KI and MK and see.
Maybe they could be added to the list.
Time to revive this fun ol' thread.
