Anyone ever seen or owned a Green GS? Mine is currently red with white wheels. Thinking about getting the frame, swingarm and wheels powdercoated some shade of silver and painting the tank, side covers and fender British Racing Green.
Am I out of my mind or what?
No, that would definitely be unique. I think it would look good. Love the little thing (Baby GS) and this forum too.

DO IT! I've wanted to see a british racing green gs for a while, I think it would look pretty good. Maybe with a darker silver frame, etc? good luck :thumb:
This is the color I want to attempt, Matte Uranium:

....green plastics....silver frame....gold wheels and highlights....that'd look friggin sweet....

those 599's are nice....but for what they cost I'd rather pick up a 919....
ok how about that british green with white accents, clip ons, fork boots, a cool retro look
Actually its an '04 919 saw one locally and found the paint on color-rite. So sweet.
Green is bad luck, thats just me though, Im a little superstitious.
just give me a couple days and I'll see waht I can do

Green will fit me to a "T" then!
I have been thinking about doing mine in BRG, too. I played with photoshop to try to find a pain scheme that would look good. I'll post some pix soon.
That Triumph green similar to the Honda you posted is sweet too! A little bit brighter I think.

That's only in racing, but look at what Scott Russell did with the ZX7 back in...'90?
Edit: BTW, I'd do the British Racing Green with a black frame and swingarm and keep the rims white for that classy look.
"Hammerite" paints do a green that is very like BRG with slight metalic highlights, I have often fancied it as and when I get a project bike.
I'll never understand why some people like BRG. I guess they weren't moving many units when they were calling it "baby poop green".
Sorry. Just my $.02.
I'll be quiet now.
I saw a green gs500 while walking up the street today to get lunch. The bike had a yosh full on it and sounded great. Tank and plastics were a lighter shade of BRG with orange accents. It looked good but not good enough that i'd do it to mine.
Actually, my wife just finished painting hers GM Meadow Green (kind of a real dark metallic green) Silver frame, white rims and decals.
She also rhino-lined her cowl, rear grab bar, case guards and a faux "tank bra". It looks sweet and should never have another tank rust....

i wanna see a picture of this rhino lined cowl..
ARGHH!! Somebody beat me to it..
Currently my project GS is matte black (primer with a thin coat of lacquer) I was thinking about doing a light spray of silver and then olive green over the silver with a matte lacquer topcoat. Then do the frame in a polish with a green translucent powder coat.. Still think it would look unique as all get out.
Of course I'll have to commit to a bit more wrench time (a bit less ride time really) to get the frame done.. not sure I want to.
holy crap, someone from chyenne. sweet now I have someone I can harrass for a place to sleep.
My ratty GS used to be green (see pic). Bad paint job. I've got a red tank on it now so it's extra ugly.

that gs has seen much better days and is hardley worth half of what hes asking =/
A green GS with gold accents? Those colors remind me of a Jeep Sahara.
Now that green one with the red tank? Very Christmasy.

If you are coming through.....Sure, give a yell. We have a spare bedroom.
And I aill get some shots of the cowl tonite and get the posted.

This is probably my favorite sportbike. The only thing I like about it more than shape is the green/silver paint scheme. It hit me while I was looking at it that there was a post about painting a GS green/silver. DUDE. what better motivation than this?
