Post by: apbrian112 on April 21, 2005, 10:20:26 PM
hey guys, just got my cardomain site up and so i posted some pics of my car and gs together. i recently put on the acerbis headlight. install was super easy as i just tapped the wires into my OEM headlight harness wires. really really easy job, 20 min job altogether including removing stock headlight. well here's the link:

2. carbon chin spoiler (whenever dygver finishes the molds on that piece as well.  :thumb: )
3. carbon seat cowl (whenever dygver finishes the molds.)

thanks! hehe... anybody got a chin spoiler they want to sell? i don't care what color since i'd just paint it black anyways. i think i'm gonna repaint the gs in the summer. probably a matte/flat black color theme. right now as it is, the bike and the car are almost the same color. (black w/ mettalic flakes) looks kinda cool when they're next to each other.  :thumb:

Nice bike and car.  I like the headlight you got on the bike.  My bro has a caprice on 22's, the tires are light 10 inches or so wide.  Its pretty awesome.  But I like you car alot too.  Looks real clean.

Bring back the Green Hornet and that's what he and Cato would tool around in. Looks neat. Love the grand GS twin and the GStwin forum.

Love the headlight.  I'll get one soon.  Seems every A hole on e-bay thinks it is funny to outbid me at the last possible second.

And that car. . . Wow.  That is the coolest 300 I've seen.

That is GANGSTA!

Darth Vader, your ride awaits.

That car is beyond awesome!  :o

How are the headlights? Are they bright enough? Looks great!

the lights compared to my stock lights are brighter, but that's because my stock headlight for some reason or other refused to illuminate the road.  :dunno:  hehe... i kept on getting outbid at the last moment as well until i just bought this one with "buy it now". at $55 shipped, it was a great deal. it was brand new and the only thing that was missing was the numberplate sticker thingy which i wouldn't have used anyway.  thanks for the compliments on the car guys! trust me, more mods to come. these 2 vehicles are draining my bank account faster than i can fill it.

can you say bling bling!!!  :thumb:

how was the mounting the fairing? did you need any special mod?

mounting the fairing was pretty easy, you just use the 4 mounting straps provided (they're made of rubber) to strap around the forks. the top straps were a little difficult  because of the wires and the gauges get in the way, but the bottoms were easy. all it takes is a little bit of pulling to get the top straps around the forks. once again, it's a super easy mod and it looks great. (IMO)

bwahaha... that sucks, actually, i was driving home from school and this guy in a bimmer (late model 3 series) was hanging out of his window giving me a  :thumb:  and didn't notice the light a couple of hundred feet in front of us turn red. i said thanks and then pointed forward. he ended up braking and ending up with his front end in the intersection almost running into cars crossing the intersection.  :dunno:

i got it off of ebay, it's the acerbis blitz headlight... just type in "acerbis headlight" into the search and you should come up with a couple of results. if there aren't any on ebay you can get it from a number of stores online, google the same name. i'm very happy w/ the look of it.

here you go: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4544986555&category=35610&sspagename=WDVW  and it's going for really cheap. i paid around $55 shipped but my headlight was new.

just wondering if anybody else has the blitz fairing installed (octane, etc.) if you could post pics so i can see how high you guys mounted the fairing. right now my fairing is almost level with the gauges, but i want it a little higher up so that i can tuck behind it on the freeway. any tips on how to get it mounted a little higher?
