Bizzare :o
:?
Heck yes!!
interesting.
"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we, the members of the House of Representatives and the Senate of the State of Idaho, advocate always following your heart..."
I'm not trying to be cynical here, but was this a bit of self back-slapping on their part or does this actually do something for Idaho. I mean, did you intend this as a joke or did this resolution achieve some good actions for the people of Idaho? I'm somewhat confused...maybe I don't get it. Love the little GS, the United States of America, and this forum.

ok...now do I not only want back the 2 hours of my life that I wasted on that movie...but I also want back the 5 minutes I spent reading the most riduculous piece of legislation around.....I think I'm gonna call a lawyer in the morning.....
"Friggin Idiot!!!!"
And you are paying them a salary for this?!? WTF, stupid goverments
WTF?
they should pass a bill to never show that movie again and make it mandatory for all video stores to remove it from their shelves. :guns:
That's it! I'm moving to Idaho. It must be the best place on earth, if that's all their legislature has to occupy their time. :dunno: :bs:

I think it is important to the people of Idaho. I'm sure they will all benefit by the passage of this bill.
Still being not-cynical; how are they gonna benefit? Love the great little twin, Argentina, and this forum.

Okay. Being overly analytical here, but. . .
There are few reasons why this movie (Napolean Dynamite) will benefit the people of Idaho.
The only one I can think of is it may cause a slight increase in tourism.
By recognizing the film makers, the State of Idaho is thanking them for their "15 minutes". Never bofore that I can recall has the state of Idaho been the location for a feature film. Just an effort by the legislature to cling to what nominal attention they garnered as a result of this film and remain, if for all the wrong reasons, in the spotlight.
I've never been to Idaho, but I'll likely go soon. My perents work in a National Park in northern Idaho in the summers. Supposed to be pretty nice. The tenor of your inquiry lead me to believe that you live in Idaho and are not terribly fond of the attention referenced above.
If you are actually wanting to know why I would post a link to this bill, my primary motivation was humor. I thought it was odd and pretty unbelieveable. Also, I believe Idaho is a "Red" state and a new member of the new country formed in November of 2004 known as "Dumb-ass-istan".
Jake, I would totally agree with everything in your last post. . Love the Baby GS, Borneo, and this forum.

Not to bump this old, completely stupid post, but I was watching "The Rundown" the other night, which is an excellent action movie, and something started to bother me.
The villan character "Harvey", who in the film is the brother of Hatcher (played by Christopher Walken) started looking very familiar. It began to eat away at me. Harvey is the bald guy that wears the bandage on his nose most of the film.
I lay awake that night, trying to picture what other movie I'd seen that actor in. Then it hit me. BAM!
Harvey was played by the same actor as "Uncle Rico" in Napoleon Dynamite! Hard to believe, but true! His name is Jon Gries. He has a storied filmography. Check his IMDB if you don't believe me.
