Post by: pixelmonkey on April 24, 2005, 12:31:38 PM
the bike has...

stock pipe
K&N lunchbox
147.5
2 washers

the throtle cable is connected and is adjusted properly.

the bike will idle between 7K-8K rpm with the mix screw adjusted 1 turn out to 4 turns out.

suggestions?

You need a pipe and 150's ... in any case get it sorted out and post back so we'll know what works in that setup.
Cool.

thanks for the replys

the adjuster i had set for the throtle cable was a little tight. added some lube and worked it back and forth a bit and it sat down to where it should. it's now idling at 1100 rpm and sounding nice!

this is the stock 96 bike i listed in cycletrader and didnt want to add the expense to a bike that i know would be to prep and sell.

everything is working perfect on the bike and the carb setup was exact on!!!

thanks gstwin.com!!!
