Title: Starting a message board for TNG venice scooter
Post by: conflicttheorist on April 24, 2005, 01:27:29 PM
I just picked up a used Twist & Go "Venice Scooter" for my girlfriend.  The thing was a pretty good deal if not a decent scooter.  My biggest problem with it at the moment is that I really want to start a message board so there is some community resources, like GStwin.com.  Anybody have any good advice on what I should do to start one?  Good servers or free webpage hosting?

See http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=77589#77589 .  $40 per year is extremely competitive; I've seen $4/month before, but $10-$20/month is more typical.

Some ISPs will install the forum software for you.  phpbb2 is probably the most-popular; if you want a full "portal" look, you can go for vBulletin (see beginnerbikers.org) or one of the portal mods for phpbb .  If 1998_GS500's "EachHosting.com" doesn't do the install for you, post a request here, and I'm sure there are plenty of folks who know how to set-up a forum.
