OK.... I know this answer's been given before... but how to I remove the stock crankcase sticker (without using a hair dryer or heat gun) Is there any other options? Will the crank case heat up enough on its own after riding to loosen the adhesive?
just a nice quick low side will take care of that sticker....
how do you think the first one came off? I'm attempting to recreate the same affect without all the superfluous damage associated with the aforementioned method.
if you aren't goign to put it back on, a flat head screw driver and a hammer work really well
flathead on outside of sticker? or right smack in the center?
on the outside, and work your way around
Gotcha, thanks!
Would heating up the crank case help any?
probably

I haven't tried it but somebody here suggested to remove the cover and push from the inside a while back...

This will also only work on the right side ignition cover.
Woo hoo! It is the right side! Is the cover easy to get that off?

There are three screws holding the round cover on. Here's a before pic of mine:

You can see the impression of the cover hole. Someone just rattlecanned the black over the orig Suz sticker. Now if you want to do a mega upgrade, buy one of Bob B's billet covers that replaces this. Pricey, but worth it if you have the silver colored engine.
The adhesive is very good and you will still have to chew the thing off to get it clear.
Thanks Doug! You have been incredibly helpful, as always!!
