The two cables that connect to the throttle are for opening and closing of the throttle, right?
I've adjusted the opening cable, does the other cable need to be adjusted for return? If so how do I get it dialed in?
THANKS, BigTwin
Not sure, the White Owl is an '89 and has a single cable. Somebody with twin cable will ring in, otherwise, study it a little and it will probably come to you. Love the White Owl and this forum.
C........
just get the slack out any you'll be fine
Is the throttle cable stiff or does the bike idle too high, not sure what problem your having.
No problems with it, I was just wondering if there was a correct way to set it if anything ever feels too loose or tight.

are you sure that other cable isn't the choke cable?
There isn't a return cable, the throttle cable pulls a butterfly flap open to allow air and petrol to flow through the carbs into the engine. When you close the throttle the butterfly flap is shut closed to the throttle stop position by a spring. There is a knob under the carbs which you turn with your fingers to set the throttle stop position to allow your bike to idle.
On the 01 models it is a twin throttle cable system. One for pulling, and one for returning.
For those with 01+ bikes, does it matter how the return cable is adjusted, meaning does it close faster at a certain setting?
