[rant] well today at 6:00pm was my first MSF course class. i leave an 1 1/2 hr early to assure my spot. the drive should have been about 45min -1hr.
first off the directions are bullshit and take me the longest route possible. i had to follow them because at the time i didnt realize i could have gone a different way.
The directions lead me down Rt. 202 and im supposed to look for signs for Valley Forge park. there is no such thing. repeat, there IS no such thing on rt 202. i finally realize that the directions are bullshit so i turn around to correct my mistake. by then im up to my neck in bumper to bumper traffic. did a little lane splitting (in my car - oops). then i finally arive at 6:14. now the paper in my hand clearly states that people who dont show up or are 10 minutes late will lose their spot to an alternate. ok ok i understand that even though its agravating. well turns out there was no alternates! Lucky me right? WRONG. because i was 4 minutes past the grace time they still shut me out. the class hadn't even started yet.
so i stormed out of there and had to go sit in my car for 10 min to calm down. if i haddnt i surely would have had some serious road rage at the first car that cuts me off.
to add to my anger i get to the local bike shop to pick up the bar ends i've been waiting for since friday. they sold the last set a half hour b4 i walked in. i ended up getting blue which totaly doesnt match my bike. shaZam! this sucks. [/rant]
Actually Weazy, you took that a lot better than I would have. If I get directions that are wrong and it causes me to lose out I usually wind up having a close-up and personal conversation with the writer...or whomever might be responsible for it. the worst part about it. i have to wait till NEXT year. NEXT YEAR?!?! yup. so i cant drive at night this summer. or with a passenger. bullshit. i think i will pay wahtever i have to pay to get my license and be done with it. maybe next year i'll make it.
Dang that sucks man...Glad you cooled off before heading back out on the road, could have caused you a whole 'nother mess of trouble...
If I was told that i couldn't do the class and had to wait a year, i woulda snapped. Then i would have proceded to thank them for signing my death certificate. i haven't checked into a msf yet, but are these private companys that do them and charge a fee.
