Title: *&%#ing *%^holes in there cars
Post by: Organdoner on April 28, 2005, 03:24:38 AM
I was riding to work tonight and stuck behind four slow moving cars. when I whent to pass them, the car in front of me swerved in my path and back to where he was. I thought " ok this guy was trying to pass too and just did not look" Aftet a minute or so I tryed to pass again, and that jerk did it again. well this time a got around the car and as I passed I looked in the window and seen this punk kid laughing. I first I let it go and went on my way, but after thinking about it for a few miles I got  :x and wanted to  :guns: this guy. Anyways I made it to work in one piece.

What are your stories about jerks in cars?

Best thing to do is call their tag number in to police. Road rage will get you no where. I know this the hard way..........

I went out for a solo ride one evening after work and was casually following a car in some twisties. I was not riding her tail and not in any hurry. She started hitting the brakes then move over the double yellow line and slamed on the brakes. I had to really hit the brakes hard. By this time two other riders had caught up to me. We came to a straight section, still double yellow, and I went ahead and started to pass her. I moved all the way over to the left side of the opposite lane since I did not know what she would do. As I was passing she was hanging out the window yelling at me. WTF!? I almost raised my right foot to knock off her mirror but I regained my composure. I pull in front of her with plenty of clearance and chopped the throttle.

This is when I felt a hard jolt from behind. It forced me upright and my hand came off the bars. As I was dropping back down to grab the bars, I looked into my right mirror and saw the red and silver of a RC51 flipping end over end. One of the riders passed the car just after me and was still on the throttle while looking at the driver. He hit me from behind. His front break lever hit my tail causing it to lock the front wheel, flipping his bike around 60-70mph. Not sure how I did not go down.

Did not know the guy but the first thing he did after getting up was to come over to me to see if I was ok. Stand up guy. Bought me a new exhaust (around $1200) and I sold my old one to pay for the other minor damage. We still email at times and he has rebuilt his RC.

nono... assorted nuts and bolts stored in a pocket.  Some people use ball bearings, but nuts and bolts are kind of anonymous (and easy to get)  That whole helmet thing takes too much time...
Oops, I forgot.  Be ready to run like hell, and the GS might not have the power to get away on a flat, open road.

I think it should be legal to use a paintball gun on the wackos. People with a MC endorsement should be able to buy a special paint from the state DMV. If a cop sees a car with more than two splotches of the paint on it - automatic ticket and driving training.

Of course that assumes you are able to shoot at them... :guns:

I've  had  a similar experience with a couple of jackasses in a car much like you just had.  Best thing (and not what you will feel like doing) is just  to get the hell away from them. I got around them and went to warp speed (litre bike).

He/she/they are driving a 3000+ pound sledgehammer  and you aren't.  I'm of the same opinion as Dgyver---Get the tag- report them to the police .

Or... get the tag...track him down later and let your imagination fill in the rest...

Ball bearings are great...so are nuts and bolts (and yes- easier to get nuts and bolts..)

I have a friend of a friend who has a bracket on the left side of his gixxer1000 to hold a little 1-2lb sledge hammer. When people piss him off or almost kill him he zips by and takes out their mirrors. He's done it about 5 times now. One time was to a little old lady who pulled into his lane almost knocking him off the street.

Anyone remember that old Sega game called Road Rash? hahaha

Don't ask me how that guy is doing a wheelie while holding that club in his right hand. Hahaha

My buddy was riding in CBR in Socal a couple of years ago and got stuck behind some jerk kids on the 15 South.  Apparently after acting like they were going to knock him over with their car the passanger decieded to through a plastic bottle at him, it hit his rear wheel and bounced up and shattered his tail section.  So he grabbed a roll of nickels he had in his jacket pocket, sped up and threw it at the windshield, destroyed the windshield and he sped off.  So just keep a roll of nickels in your pocket or tank bag, it's only $2.

rather frightening that you think you need to be armed, were any of these incidents instigated? I won't even flick a car off because with a twich of a wrist i'm done, I'm just polite and keep away.

You pull a stunt like that on the wong person, they might knock you off the road.

Somewhat thread O/T, but here goes:

Good old hick mentality struck last night on my way to math class, off my bike thankfully, but as I was walking along the main drag of our jr. college's campus, a POS 67-72 Chevy longbed that was primered 15 different shades along the bodywork drove by and the hicks inside decided to chuck an egg at myself and a friend.  Never seen 'em before, hopefully won't have to see them again.

Isn't it great how some people, no matter their age, seem to not realize that what they do to others does affect the OTHER PEOPLE?

WTF, I learned this in 1st grade...
