I'm a big GT4 fan also, but it looks like this game blows it out of the water. Just the level of customization... :o (and custom soundtracks, booya!)

GT4 was the best driving simulator ever (I just beat it).

Forza looks cool too, but sadly, no PS2.  Wonder if it will come out on PS2?

I'm going to go cry now.

Speaking of gaming, has anyone played MotoGP 2 AND MotoGP 3?  I was wondering if it would be worth getting MotoGP 3, and if it was much different.

Forza is an inhouse (MS) production, do draw your own conclusions  :P

I have MotoGP3 and it is collecting dust. It's hard to get the feel of a motorcycling game right.

MotoGP 2 took some time to figure out.  Set on the "Normal" difficulty setting, the bikes spin so much that any throttle at all causes it to highside.
Set on Easy, it is no problem to win 1st place (with a five lap race).  There are just very few bikes.

I would have liked to see a longer "career" simulation.  Working your way up as a priveteer, possibly, on 125's, 250's, 500's two stokes, and then MotoGP bikes that have to be constructed, tuned, and then raced, advancing with a bank account to buy parts.  If MotoGP 3 added these things, I'd buy it too.

I'm going to start a class action suit against MS, demanding they make Forenza Motorsports for other platforms.

Indicate in this thread if you are interested in joining the class action suit.

Thank you in all regards.

It's developed by a Microsoft 1st party developer which means no PS2 port ever.

It's really not all that different. Being that MotoGP 4 is coming soon, I would wait. The MotoGP series is, by far, the most technical racer I've ever play and I can't wait for 4.

Moto GP is the one made by Namco? Is it that good? Maybe we're talking about different games.

Oh oh oh. I forgot. You're talking about the Namco developed MotoGP series on PS2. You're right. It's crap. The one for the Xbox and PC are completely different game with a completely different developer. This MotoGP series is considered far and wide to be one of the best racers ever created. It's beyond hard and you need to race perfect. Extremely technical. I would definitely check it out if you haven't already. It's well worth it. :thumb:

GameSpot's review for Forza is up:

GameSpot rated it higher than GT4. As much of a GT4 fan that I am, that's really impressive. I'm going to have to pick up Forza for sure now. IGN should be releasing their review tonight.

The IGN review is up. They gave it a 9.5.

IGN: "...MGS has done a superb, bang-up job their first time out. Forza is a force to be reckoned with, out-maneuvering GT4 in several respects, and beating out everything else in the sim department on Xbox, straight out. The fact is, Forza does some things better than GT4 and some things worse, but it's a must-have game, full stop."

Sounds like I'm picking it up tonight. Can one balance two games like GT4 and Forza? We will see.
