Post by: number1 on May 03, 2005, 07:38:45 PM
i have the chance to get some compressive springs for a real good price we have yet to set a price but its going to be cheap. but i was wondering is it worth it with out replaceing the handlebars and what kind of diffrence will i notice once i install them. also how hard is it to install them and how long does it take.

sorry for all the questions but i appreciate the help. :)

It is definately worth it. put those in with some15WT oil and youwill notce a huge difference. Pantablo has an excellent right up on his site  http://pantablo500.tripod.com/ Check it out.  :thumb:
Now all you need is a katana rear shock, then it will ride beautilfully. the springs should take no more than 30-45 min.

Progressive springs are a must if you do any two up riding..
I don't think you can go wrong putting them in..

I just did this upgrade about a month ago and I can tell you that the difference is extremely noticeable. I use to bottom out coming into the driveway and it's been completely eliminated with the Progressive springs. Use these instructions (http://pantablo500.tripod.com/id2.html) and it should take you no time. It was literally less than a half hour to get the whole upgrade complete. Do it!

They're definately awesome. I weigh about 122lbs and I never had a major problem with bottoming out. I got them for a performance upgrade. They make the bike feel so much more stable and I actually think they made the bike feel more like a bicycle. Very flickble. Definately get them. They turn the GS into a whole new bike.
