knee dragging pants suggestions anyone?
looking for something effective and not too pricey
dont need tons of features since i wouldnt usem that often
being on the poorside, ive known a few guys that would double up on jeans or sew leather patches to the knees'hips and ass of a pair of jeans. some would even stich velcro to knee patch for a puck. seen one guy who wraped jeans and denum jacket with leather and added ABS plastics on inside of back for makeshift armor. but this made the jacket ungodly heavy. figure the plastic knee gaurds for roofers would add alittle protection.
what kind of leather jacket do you have? they probably make leather pants with knee pucks that zip to the back of the jacket (you want that). expect to pay $200 for the pants, if not more. I think I paid $200 for mine but then had to later sew on velcro for the knee pucks (joe rocket makes a kit for $20-cheaper than buying the alpinestars pants with knee pucks, $280)

These are pretty cheap and come with pucks.
Too bad you weren't looking 6 months ago. I pick up some leather race pants for 85$ on closeout from new enough, but they sold out long ago.
Add this jacket and you've got a 2 piece that zips together for 300.

Or just stop messing around and buy this 1 peice for 369

I have the teknic jacket and love it.
what about hockey knee pads?
ducktape a hockey puck to your knees, seriously don't be stupid though your never gonna use them especially on a gs. Learn to be content with scraping footpegs and throwing your weight over the bike. Or buy a new bike.

Umm I have to VERY seriousely beg to differ. I drag my knees every time im at PIR, and riding down a few of my favorite roads.
For tires I have the Bt45's, but gonna upgrade to the Perelli Sport Demons soon,
progresive fork springs, and stock rear shock.
If you are willing to ride the Gs right there is no reason you cant drag your knee.
Ask the racers.
Yeah except racers do it on a track, not on the street.
You will need more than just a knee puck to keep your internals from becoming a good stew....
its just for practice so i think i may sew some velcro onto my riding pants and finda way to keep the pucks from shifting,
and ive hung off my bike enough to knee drag before but didnt drag for obvious reason :? ouch
My first set of leathers were a 2 piece fieldsheer suit. The pants had extra padding at the knees. I had velcro sewn on and added some pucks.
While I was dragging knee ( yes, on the street  ) I hit 2 reflectors with the puck. The pain shot through my leg and almost made me drop the bike (my Ducati !). My knee cap was bruised for days.
The next set of leathers was some Dainese with full armour under the leather.
Same senario, but absolutely no pain from the reflectors.
So, 2 things to consider. 1) don't hit the damn reflectors!
And make sure you have something to absorb the impact if you do hit something with the puck.
Simply adding more denim or leather may help with abrasion, but not impact.
My preference is for the armour is the hard plastic outer shell with the double density foam inside. Cheap leathers usually don't have this style unfortunately.
