Title: Front brake lever sticking
Post by: Organ Donor on May 05, 2005, 03:04:15 AM
When I use my front brake it seems like it hits a stop about halfway in, then I have to squeeze harder just to get it to move,It makes my brake feel like an on/off switch. Not Good.  My leaver was squeaking yesterday so I oiled it with hoppie's # 9 now it's sticking, time to break out the WD-40. also the front brake has been feeling "spungy" there is plenty of pad left.  :dunno:

forget the WD-40. I gave her a shot of CRC 3-36, no problem now

If the front break is spongy then there is either air in the brake system or water. The brakes will need bleeding which is decribed in the haynes manual.

I can just pop off the master cylinder and give the brake a few pumps, Right? BTW How would I get water or air in the system?
