Just wondering if I adjust the spring all the up or down, will it change the height of the bike? thanks
Not the height of the bike just sitting there, but it will sag less with you on it, so trying to get your feet down at the lights will be a bit different. The improvement in ride will more than make up for it, though.
Im trying to lower the bike without dogbones, so do i need to fully raise the setting or fully lower it to have more sag?
Lowering the bike via the preload of the shock will lead to ill handling characteristics. If the preload is reduced (letting the spring lengthen) the rear end will become soft and the bike will not want to steer, especially exiting turns.
i have the tool to adjust the rear shock in my toolkit, but i was curious is anyone has any hints or suggestions on making it simplier to adjust.
i've tried it once or twice and couldn't get it adjusted due to the amount of room to work with down there, so i gave up, thought i would leave well enough alone; but i like to see what my options are.
anyone know an easy way to adjust it?

Put a long screw driver in there and rotate it.
