one more for u srinny. u just said 1 washer.  i just stumbled over this (http://gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12929).  it says 2 washers?  [/url]
Title: Adjustable
Post by: The Buddha on May 08, 2005, 07:57:46 PM
Its pretty much a starting point ... my bet is ... mains and pilots will not need touching ... obviously ... the air screw and needle are adjust to taste .. I coinsider them external ... OK not external external ... but you dont have to take carbs off to get at any of them ... screws are external, needles need tank removal and tops off the carbs ... close enough ... so 2 washers OK ... usually 1 busome have 2 ... maybe the CA carbs need that extra washer and an extra turn of mix screw cos they take in more air via 1 size larger air jets ...
Cool.

is the 20.00 for mains and pilots ?
Title: For
Post by: The Buddha on May 09, 2005, 07:19:03 AM
Its for 2 mains (125 or 150), 2 pilots, 2 washers - OK if you want 4 washers ... and 4 allen bolts for the float bowls. AKA all you'll need ... add $7 if you want stage 1 and 3 ... so you'd get 2 of 125's and 2 of  150's ...
Cool.

i've got two washers under my needles on my '93 with a wileyco and lunchbox and i think it runs a bit rich.  haven't checked the plugs lately, but it was running rich after i first finished the rejet.  i bet you'd be fine with just one washer under the needle.  matter of fact, i may remove one and let you know the results.
