Title: Skyline Drive... last call.
Post by: vtlion on May 10, 2005, 07:13:21 AM
I just wanted to remind all the mid-atlantic riders that a friend and I will be riding skyline drive Thursday, May 19 through Saturday, May21.  So far nobody else has jumped on the bandwagon, which is too bad,  because we are gonna have so much fun it will be stupid. :P

Come on mid-atlantic riders... get in now and save yourself from the horrible disappointment of seeing the sweet-arse pics I post up after the ride and thinking "man, I coulda been on that ride"  :(

full details in the Skyline 2.0  thread (http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8094) (Meet N Greet section).

I had my heart set on going, but my graduation is that weekend.  Ride safe and take some pictures to make us jealous.   :thumb:

Since then I had just too many things to do. Man I wanna go, but the way it looks right now it will be in 2007. (pharmacy school... no time :x )
Cheers,
-DS
PS: have enough fun for all of us, ok?

I've driven Skyline Drive in a cage a bunch of times, and I'm dreaming of getting down there with my bike, but there's a whole lot of practice in my future first.

One word of caution.... it's not uncommon for deer to jump out onto the road in front of your vehicle.... stay safe.

yeah, I did this ride last season and the amount of deer, gravel, and slow drivers on/next to the road are all much higher than we would like.  The deer are fearless, too.  It's ok though.  the pace will be moderate at best.... after all we aren't racing skyline.
