Do I need anything other than the seal itself?
Without stateing the obvious, oil would be handy :) seriously though, check that the retainer clips are ok, as water rots them if they aint been changed for a while, and make sure the dust caps are ok, I usually replace them all, then its job done, nothing to wory about
Seals and dust covers are mandatory, Inner plastic bushing, clips outer metal teflon bushings are optional.

I guess the clip can be replaced too if you're going this far - #6.
I usually replace 5 and 7 and clean everyhitng and re use ... but I have found 12 broken in 1 case so I swapped that too ...

holy cow.. that ups the price from $40 ($20 for both oil seals and $20 for both dust seals) to over $80... I think I'm gonna just order the oil and dust and hope nothing else is too deteriorated.. I'm also gonna go ahead and regrease my steering head bearings since I'll already have it all apart...
Also the leaky fork may be why my bike pulled to the right (I would have to lean to the left if I took my hands off the bars)... also one fork leg is a little higher in the triple than the other...
The metal bushings I usually dont think need to be swapped ... that plastic one #12 is also only if broken (mine was in 1 case and was like $3 or so ... Else reuse all but seals and dust covers.

here's the whole story.. I noticed that there was more dirt on one side than the other.. but didn't really look for leaking oil... yesterday morning I noticed I was bottoming out over a speedbump where I live. I went ahead and switched to 15w (sucked all the old oil out) and put in my progressives. Everything was perfect, the bike rode perfectly straight, etc.. for like an hour. Then I bottomed out over a speedbump and the bike was tracking funny.
So.. I noticed oil on my forks..
You do not have to replace the dust seals. It's a good idea, if you can afford to, but you don't have to.
are the seals on the fork tops ok, its just a rubber ring on the cap. mine were not worn, but the top of the fork sleeve was a little rusted, so cleaned that and replaced them aswell
