Title: No Throttle response.
Post by: Groggg on May 15, 2005, 11:12:24 AM
Bassically I run the bike at 90 MPH for 1-2 mins. seems like the bowls run out of fuel. if I coast to a stop the bike returns to idle and I can now run in as normal. seems the float level is off,

Check to make sure that you have good fuel flow. Kinda sounds like it might not be filling it fast enough.

Several riders on here say the Baby tends to "fuel starve" after extended high-speed running. Some have even fitted aftermarket pet-cocks to alleviate the situation. I wonder if running on prime during extended high-speed runs would help. Love the little GS, North Carolina (they got some beautiful mountains), and this forum.

Then there is always the possible tank vacuum issue. Try popping the cap prior to or while running at speed to see if it makes a difference.
