Title: To V&H exhaust owners
Post by: Lukewarm Wilson on May 17, 2005, 06:52:04 PM
How noticeable is the performance of the V&H system over the stock system
not worried how loud it is just the difference it makes, better throttle responce, smoother or rougher big power step that sought of thing :thumb:

All I know is that the dyno chart on the home page shows an increase of about 4-5 hp over stock with the V&H pipe, re-jet and ign. advancer. I'd like to do that to the White Owl. What was it, 43-44 hp it showed? Pretty stout for the little thing. Love the Baby GS, Colorado (was there one time, just passin' thru), and this forum.

Its alot better, but alot of it being better is weighed on how good you have the jetting dialed in, but most of that is documented so you should be ok.  If you do get one I would recommend pluging one of the holes on the slide, it seems to help a good bit with 4-6k roll ons.

I did a 15t sprocket and K&N at the same time I put my exhaust on, but it was a noticeable difference. I've since added K&N pod filters instead of the drop in filter and an ignition advance and my bike put 45.1 hp down at the wheel on a Dynojet dyno.
