sorry, i couldn't find anything on the faq or search function (maybe i'm just lazy) so i guess i'll just ask...what's the widest size rear tire for my gs500e? i know it says on 130/70-17 on the spec page but that's just the factory tire right? is there any way i can get maybe a 150 or something on the stock swingarm? well, thanks in advance...
I think I remember avons that go up to 140/70-17, or something like that. Those fit on a 500e. I could look it up, but I'm going to fall asleep instead. How on earth did you search? Put "widest" and "rear" in the box, check Search All Terms radio button, click Search. You get a couple of threads, including this one.

He didn't, obviously. He has already half admitted that he is lazy. He came in with the usual "I tried but couldn't find it" excuse to fish for some info that is easily available if he did a little work. And he did it in a lame way because he couldn't be @r$ed to even tried to pretend a little better. He is the type of guy that rather other people exert a whole lot for his benefit when he could have done it himself with less effort. I betcha that he is a cool 18-20 year-old 8) who will be trading the GS up for a 600 or 1000 in two months. But folks in this forum are super friendly, so I am sure this question will get answered somehow, and we'll have another tire thread. There. I have probably wasted more effort on him than I should have. :lol:

yeah, its not like this subject is one of the MOST talked about on this site or anything....
140/70, 140/80 will fit. 150/60 will fit but affects handling adversely (esp the more it wears out) and I wouldnt recommend it. pirelli sport demons are probably best. avons and bridgstone bt45's also good.
