someone sent me an email asking how i bolted my plate up. well i figured i would post up here just to show u a little of my fenderectomy. the plate is attactched underneath the toolbag holder via 2 metal pieces roughly 5in long x 1/2 in wide with 4 holes. i only used 3 holes for each side as you can see in the picture. 2 holes for bolts that go into whats left of the fender and 1 hole for the plate. i also had to fab up some turn signal hangers out of aluminum (painted on outside) which bolts up with the metal strips. im really bad at explaining things and prob just wasted my time since no one really cares :nana:

ehh, I've seen worse jobs. but hey atleast you tried, now go ride around in the rain and yo will wonder why you got this wet strip up your ass.
What's the difference between that and a stock, except for the license plate?
I want to replace the "mud-flap" with a chrome fender... Like 70's JP bikes.
ha ha, i can read ur plate number from the rear view of your mount :)

same idea, different mount bracket. nice work.
lol yup. i used your pictures for a basic idea.
cool!
Good deal, now I have a good alternative if I cant get my buell signals to work on my chopped fender.
That license plate shot reminds me of a PA plate that I saw at a Grateful Dead concert once. I think a lizard was driving the bike...
:o
hey dude i like the way your plate is mounted. i never ride in the rain my bike will melt lol.
What a beautiful picture of that nuclear smog rising into the air.
its steam
hmmm, I hope that's not Three Mile Island back there!
love the way the upsidedown Taillight cleans up the lines of the stock tail.
