I've been looking at a used 2004 GS500F that was dropped once. It's all been fixed up except for the transmission case and emblem. I know a lot of the scraping was on the emblem, can't really remember how bad the casing was. I looked at some parts sites and fiched up the part numbers so I can make it look a little nicer. The emblem has no bolts though, just wondering how to fasten that on. I'm not a mechanic, and I see no bolts. :P

show off
According to my local Suzuki man, it's the most commonly bought Suzuki part, must tell us something.
what's the part number on that...
I've been searching for one forever but didn't know what the hell it is called, which made it hard to search for.
Jonah
it's under crankcase cover.
13: EMBLEM,CONTACT
18 - same as 13
(http://houseofmotorcycles.bikebandit.com/partsbandit/assets/schematics/Suzuki/SU0085_007.gif)
The part # for 2004 is 68233-01D10, I think the older ones are 68233-01D00
:thumb:
So we sure about 13 and 18 being the same..bikebandit only sells 13.
Thanks,
Jonah
If the part number for 13 is 68233-01D10 like 18, then they're the same.. I fiched the part for 18 and searched for it on bikebandit, and they had it. I'd imagine they're the same though.
Resurrecting another really old thread
Anyone ever made their own replacement emblem? I'll probably try this weekend, but figured I'd ask first 8)

hahahaha ... ok let me rephrase ... has anyone tried to make just the sticker portion. I guess I might just try to paint what's there.
Noone can ever really tell what my bike is now .. don't want to give it away with Suzuki on the side. Rather just leave owners and enthusiasts with a clue 8)
Seamax was trying to put together a group buy on some color matched emblems. But it fell through, as it was too much hassle.
