I finally got together a few pictures from my ride last Saturday. I left about 6:00 in the evening, and got back about 8:30. This was the maiden voyage for my new pocket camera, a Kodak CX7530 (http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=9/19/32/2237/3623&pq-locale=en_US) (on sale last week at Staples for $179!)
This was my 4th or 5th time to ride all the way around Utah Lake. Without side trips it's just under 100 miles. I decided to make another visit to Eureka, because I remembered that I had no pictures of the old mining headframe(s) there.

I took this first picture near Map Point 2, facing Orem. I live at the bottom of the foothills between the two major mountains in the picture. I was about 11 miles from my home as the crow flies.

I took the next picture a few miles north of Map Point 3. If the sprinkler on the end had been working right, I would have gotten wet as I rode by!

Looking East as I head up the hill to Eureka. Mt. Nebo is 178 feet higher than Timpanogos, but it just "feels" smaller somehow....

I thought about going back home the way I had come, but my wife wanted to get to a store before it closed at 9:00. So I hopped on I-15 instead ... and we ended up not going out after all. :dunno:

Thanks for sharing a little (or, judging by the mountains, a big) piece of where you live, Kerry.
Being "out there in the world" is a big draw for me into Motorcycling. So many roads -- so little opportunity to explore. Perhaps I should invest more in lotteries -- I'd have 45 more hours per week to ride.
Unfortunately I owe, so it's off to work I go...

MS Streets & Trips 2002.
For the map images that I post, I do an Alt-Print Screen, paste it into IrfanView, and crop out the toolbars and other junk.

streets & trips is your everyday mapping and trip planning software.
mappoint is a business mapping and intelligence software. you can analyze trends, demographics, purchase decision data, etc...

you can also goto
Edit -> Copy Map or
Ctrl + Shift + C. this will copy just the map.
Now he tells me! :)

right click on the map and choose
copy will capture everything except for the tollbars and menu crap on the top.
That seems to give me the same result. Is there an easy way to grab all of the info displayed in the map at the top of the thread?

i think you can capture the entire route but i'm not sure if you can just get the summary...
