now I have to go pick up my bike at the restaurant later. Wow, a few beers can make you feel invincible.
Better than picking it up out of a ditch.
Or having to crawl out of an upside down pickup truck because you were too stupid to leave it at the bar. Yes that would be me.
Yes I learned my lesson. I no longer drink and am SLOWLY in the process of getting my license back. Sure wasn't worth it.

A good friend of mine lost his license for going 26 over. His punishment was 6 mo suspended license, 40 hours of community service, and defensive driving courses.
The punishment for a first time DUI is less than that. That, imo, is BS.
he must have had a really bad record... and trust me, that's not worse than the year my license was suspended, $1000 in fines, Alcohol Safety Classes i went through for four months and probation for a year that i had to go through for my DUI. O and required to get SR22 high risk insurance.
i ride up to the BRP in VA....at intersection of BRP and HWY 8
there is a biker bar/rest
on a sun afternoon...there will be 75-100 H-D's in the lot
they drink the place dry
get on their bikes......
leave....... :o :o :o :o :o
Went for the bike last night. Glad it was still there. I am also glad I made the right decision.

he also was not allowed a work/school permit.
A coworker got a dui.. 6 mo suspension (w/ a work permit though) couple hundred $$ in fines, 15 hours comm service, and that's it.

jeez where do you live? thats nothin. here in california you pay about 10grand total before the whole ordeal is done. I met a guy in my 16hr traffic school that has payed well over $55,000 in fines and tickets. some people dont learn i guess.

This is my 2nd time around, (yes I was REALLY stupid) and I don't dare think about the money. It's well into the thousands along with being revoked or supsended for almost 13 YEARS on two different occasions.
