What other larger displacement engines have been found to fit the frame?
had the same question when i first got here.
it appears that there are no readily swappable motors.
but as dgyver says here

QuoteSome mods that I have done:
ignition advancer
full exhaust
cams
high compression oversized pistons
larger carbs
milled head
ported head
k&n air filter
other's have done:
gsxr 4-valve head (I am building one now)
turbo
nitrous
I am working on a bored & stroked motor.
How much money ya got?
Oh, I dont want to put anything too big in it.........Say a 77' KZ1000 engine or something :thumb:
No but I would like to get something in the way of a Suzuki 650 or and older GS750 engine I loved the power of my old GS750 well and my 77 KZ but I know there is no way in hell that is going to fit :)
Will have to just find one and mesure it out and see what I am going to have to build if it will fit and line up.
I thought about modding the engine but you will spend twice as much to come up to what a larger engine would produce, IMHO
thanks,
Mike
it would be sweet to use an older inline 4, early 80's gs 750e?
you would just need some wicked brackets :)
i had a friend put an old kz750 in a go cart, like the off road kind, it was pretty fast.
just make sure to post somthing if you get somthing crazy to work, i'd love to see it.
and good luck!

I miss my 82 GS750E, it had an 83 Katana Engine in it. good for about 140 then the carb bowls go dry.
