cant really answer the first question but I am 6'4" 258 and I have no issues with it

just take a pic of the two next to eachother so you have a record the mileage

Thats a good idea, never thought of that. What should I look for if the accident  was more than what he is saying it was ie. bent forks is obvious..... without actually driving it?
