so for the last three weeks, i stopped posting because i got in my first accident and got a little spooked out from riding. . .
now that my spirits are back up,
here's what happened
i basically pulled the clutch out too early on a turn and the bike threw me off like a piece of meat. . .
fairing cracked, little scratches here and there and the left rearset is bent out of place. . .
the worst part, the clutch lever snapped off
today i replaced it,
but for some reason, the bike still doesn't start
not even a crank
no sound
nothing
i'm in neutral
kill switch is off
anybody got any ideas?
THANKS!
cheers,
joel
Did you get the clutch safety switch plugged back in correctly?
check the switch on the side stand also maybe it broke??
it's preobably the clutch safety switch like mk1 said. you can take it apart and bypass it by making a connection with a screwdriver. then see if it'll start.
I second the clutch safety switch. I replaced my lever with one from Ebay and the safety switch wouldn't work right. You may need to back the safety switch screws out a tad or shave down the switch toggle a little bit.

glad you hear you are okay. what do you mean you let the clutch out too early? arent you supposed to switch gears at the "vertex" of the turn?
yes...check the clutch safety switch...99% sure it's that thing...
also...check the obvious...battery, sparks, cable connections etc...
call me tomorrow...see if i'll be free to help...
wohoooo everybody!
you're all right about the safety switch
i took it out for a spin yesterday and it felt so awesome
cept when the rain came
so i rode my ass back home right after
if you'll excuse me all,
i need to squeeze in about 2 hours of sleep before i gotta go to work
cheers to all,
joel
Glad you got it started up...enjoy!
