ok...so here a question:
Who qualifies as a noob.
I mean are there like different levels of noobiness...like noob noob and pro noob or anything like that.
Is there an exam to graduate from noob status...like scraping parts...flying into a ditch while in WOT and highsiding.
Does asking dumb questions such as this one on GStwin, automatically fail me from graduating from noob school?
If not...how the hell do you know? And is being a noob a bad thing or is it a sign that you display a healthy respect for your lack of experience?
Does one ever graduate? I mean, the learning never stops...I won't wake up in a few years and think to myself ....shaZam! dawg...I know how to ride....SWEETTTT...

What is calculated in noobness level?
Miles taken, posts made, years of experience, age, number of bikes, number of crashes, number of crashes without a helmet, number of teeth? :lol:
If you can advance upwards from being a noob, can you fall back to become one again? Is it earned or given title?
Or is it like noob level one, noob level two, etc. :)
Oh the joy of custom titles....
The unofficial guide to graduating from noobness according to scratch:
1. You must survive at least a year and a half without loss of limb, finger, toe or eye. This includes everybody around your motorcycle, except theives.
2. You must be able to negotiate every conceivable turn. Even at car speeds (re: slow enough to make cars brake, but hey, you're being safe).
3. The freeway no longer scares you, so you don't try to avoid the freeway because you don't like it, but it's okay if you avoid the freeway to take twisties :) .
4. You know enough to put the bike in gear and roll it forward so that it can no longer roll forward in gear, when you park the bike on a downhill slope...on the sidestand (congratulations, now you know :roll: ).
5. That you even notice any degree of slope in the surface that you are parking on, and position your bike in such a way that it will not be vertical on the sidestand.
6. You can dismount your motorcycle without it falling over away from you without putting it on the sidestand first.
7. You can push the bike backwards using only your left hand to steer.

Its [{Miles/Number of crashes + 1} - years of experience *1000 (yea you dont want to have 1000 miles in 15 years really - if not 1000 mile minimum per year its nothing * (number of bikes that you haven't crashed or bought because you crashed the previous one ) / Number without a helmet] - number of teeth lost due to aforementioned crashes. :lol:

I tried that calculation, but got a "division by zero error" then a blue screen of death ;)
Division by zero means you're not a noob, and there is no way someone can accuse you of being one. That is, if you have not cheated when giving the data.

P.S.:
Dropping a bike on the test course on the driving exam is lame, but I think falling has to be practiced, too.
(Been there, dropped a GS on the exam. Cold engine stalled at figure 8 ) :oops:
