No experience with that jacket, but I find leather to be MUCH more comfortable.  It bends and moves much better with your body.  For hot weather I have a mesh jacket that has armour in it, and I highly recommend something similar.

I'm in Redondo Beach. I saw the spinner on newenough, pretty good price. I'll have to do some more looking around and try some on. Gotta start the search for pants now as well...

Hey, I have the Spinner!  http://www.newenough.com/product_pictures/a/alpinestars_spinner_jacket/grey_front.jpg Just got it from Newenough a few weeks ago.  It is breaking in pretty quick and is made very well it seems.  Today it got up in the low 80's and it was not too hot, even what little I was riding around in town.  Looks like it offers good protection but will probably end up getting different back protection to slip into the pocket.  The lady working the gas station even commented "That is a beautiful jacket you have."  I give it  :thumb:  :thumb:

my tz-1 looks awesome.. I get tons of compliments from it...

but above about 85-90 degrees I am dying in it from heat... even when moving it's too hot.

I love the jacket though, so I'll probably try the t-stunt air flo mesh one

I stopped by  my LBS today and tried both the spinner and the TZ-1 on. I have to say the tz-1 felt a LOT better, much more sturdy. I think its the one for me. Too bad newenough dosent have my size.

I have a spinner jacket in silver/black.  I bought it in Feb and it's broken in very well.  So far it hasn't been too hot, though i may have to get a full perf leather jacket for summer here in florida.

Quality wise, I would say it's very nicely made and seems quite durable. The venting system works well and there is perforated leather on the sides.  I haven't used the liner, but it's nicer than some others I've seen.

As far as looks, I have gotten a few comments on it as well, mainly from women who seem to think it's "hot". I like it because it's sporty without being too power rangerish. I feel well protected when wearing it.

When I first bought it I couldn't wear it with the back pad, but now it has broken in a loosened up a little and it fits like a glove. Overall, I have no regrets about buying this jacket, other than the fact that the price dropped on them right after I bought mine.  I think I paid 320 or something like that.

Yeah about the heat, I figure if its that hot I won't ride anyway, I'm not a huge fan of doing anything and ending up completely soaked in sweat drenched clothes, unless its exercise. I live real close to a cycle gear so I think I'm just going to get it from there, same price as newenough. Hopefully I will have time to check it out soon.
