Maybe the battery isn't fully charged yet... no ac and dc will not show each other.
Bravo on your efforts and progress! :thumb:
I echo the previous reply. With modern meters, it is unusual to obtain a reading of AC while having DC selected, and vice versa. IF you do obtain a reading, it is because the connection has both components. That would be very unusual for the GS electrics, but remotely possible given all scenarios.
I initially thought my GS project had Goat's. It exhibited similar behavior, but with an apparent seized engine. The starter motor on mine was destroyed due to the starter clutch being seized engaged. The poor starter motor was attempting to keep up with the bike at about 40 MPH. After purchasing it in that condition, I have nearly gone over the entire bike, excluding upper and lower engine internals and the swing arm.
