I just got off the phone with a local stealership and they quoted me $45 for OEM seals... I said HUH!? He said that the aftermarket ones will leak...
What's everyones opinion of this?

R U sure it's that one? Sorry to question.. But I was thinking it was #7 or #11
Nope, that's correct. Here's the part number off my order from Bike Bandit when I got my fork seals:
503458
It matches number 5 from the schematic. Fork seals are pretty easy to do. There's a bunch of threads that talk about how to do it. Now regarding any carb work, if it ain't broke don't try to fix it. That is unless you want your bike in peices in your garage instead of on the road. :x
I'm okay, really I am. Just as soon as me and my GS come to terms. :guns:

I just called back with the info... Spoke to a different guy and told him what the deal was... He sat there on the phone and told me flat out, "I wouldn't pay $45 for a fork seal either"
They quoted me $11 and change! Now that sounds a lil bit better! :thumb:
Do you think I could've been quoted on a "kit"?
Sweeeeet.
Maybe you were quoted on the price of the fork seals plus buying that guy's lunch for a week.
