So here I am going to work. Get rain drops in Paramus.
Stop and put on rain gear. After I put it on I look
up and think that I will feel silly in a few minutes
when the sun comes out. Boy was I wrong. Thunder lightning and rain.
Rode for 30 minutes in really hard rain. Just stayed in the tracks of the
cars ahead and that works pretty well. The trick is to
stay just enough behind so the tracks don't close up
with water before you get there.
One place had flooding with 8" deep water.
The Suzuki GS500 was flawless as usual. Nothing
better than 20 year old technology. Get a chance to
get all the bugs out. I approach the traffic circle not far from the Holland Tunnel. The rain had just stopped 3 minutes earlier. There sitting in traffic is a guy on a brand new Harley with the
leather saddle bags. Not a drop of rain on him and I
thing to myself. What is going on here? Just who
does this guy know?
Mike
haha what you dont see is him not coming outside much and leaving his bike under covers untill those rare moments of sun. id much rather be riding my bike than having it look good.

Maybe he's a meteorologist...
Don't know, I rode HD for several decades and they always looked good and ran good. Rode 'em rain or shine. If it got dirty I just sprayed it off...never bothered any of 'em. Of course when you ride a Harley the motorcycle gods do tend to smile down upon you... ;) . Love the little GS, HD (simplicity is the mother of durability), and this forum.
