Title: gsxr 750 rear wheel
Post by: 94suzuki500 on June 10, 2005, 10:33:33 PM
i have seen on pablos page that he put one on and he but a 150 on the bike and it fit.  But the standard tire size for the rim is 160, I was wondering since the gsxr wheel could handle the tire would it fit in the bike, just bending the brake arm alittle maybe?

Read on his site, Tire size explained. its very useful. Keep in mind that the sides of that swingarm come up fast and you will find yourself rubbing with going too wide.

The honest truth is that unless your doing this for looks the stock tire size is more than up to the task. Its plenty wide for the power your dealing with. This isnt a busa, its a GS.
If you must jam wider meat in there to get the sqid factor up, then go with the GSXR 7fiddy  swingarm so that you can go bigger.  :thumb:

a 160 will fit, but sproket needs shiming and brake stay arm needs bending

its not just the swingarm, its also the chain angle  and relation to front sproket
