Title: My bike has gremlins!
Post by: stephan on June 12, 2005, 06:57:48 PM
I don't know what to do.

I've been going through trying to fix my bike for months now and it still won't work.

The latest is that I got my carbs back from srinath (thanks, I still owe you some $$$!).  Put the carbs on the bike and it started, then quit.  Now all it does is backfire when I'm trying to start it.

I give up, I'm deaf in one ear, and my neighbors think I just capped someone.

Any ideas???   :dunno:

check out your spark plug boots, double check spark plugs, and check your wireing harness connections , the big ones for the boxs

Make sure you have all the hoses in the right locations from the tank to frame petcock and from frame petcock to carbs.

Have you checked to make sure you have strong spark in both cylinders?

Holes in rubber intake boots running from carb to intake?  Propane test will work to check for leaks here....prolly needs to be running first though :dunno:

This is sounding very similar to my current problem. It has been narrowed down to a intermitent Reg/Rec and or Stator. Both are being replaced today.
