I'm going to put this in Odds n Ends since it's not really important, except maybe to me.
After waiting nearly two years to be able to enjoy my bike again, I finally managed to find the funds to get it repaired. Today I got two brand new Maxxis Promaxx tires and new brake pads installed. Just gotta buy some spark plugs and a new headlight bulb and I'm set.
Here's the new tire:

I had the work done by a custom chopper shop. Yea, they actually agreed to work on the little rice rocket GS  . I work with a guy who is friends with the owner, so he got me in. They don't do service for the general public, since they do it really cheaply so it's just for people they know, saved me a lot of money!
It's really been killing me to see other people riding when I can't. It will be nice to be among them once again. I nearly sold it last year to have the extra money, I'm glad I didn't.
Edit: spelling
Good tire choice. I put those on my old GS. They're cheap, but they grip really well and look nice.
consider this a thread-jacking btw ed your bike!
