Title: Now that was fun!!!
Post by: KrivoK on June 18, 2005, 08:44:39 PM
Well,  being new to the whole motocycle world and not having the experience as most of you have I had not really "got on the throttle"....... until tonight

What a rush for me and the girlfriend.  After owning my new 05' GS500F for just short of two months and 1,200 miles I finally "let it out" a little bit.  Got to experience the three digits for the first time tonight and I am all smiles  :)  :)  :) .  As a sit here and think about it, I'm just not sure why anyone would need anymore power than that little bike puts out.  One helluva good time tonight for sure.

Just thought I would share a fun story.  I am sure most of you can look back and remember the first time you hit that 100MPH mark.

Wooooohoooooo!!!!

I think the best part is pulling out from a side road onto a country road and full throttle it all the way up to 60mph.
You proberbly think it is a rocket at the moment!
I remember the first time I full throttled it, actually it was the first day I rode it, it scarred the c@@p out of me but you do get used to it.

I think this site exists, cause this 'little' bike does have enough power.  It is just plain out FUN to ride a GS.  Props on 100.  I remember my first time. ;)   I had to do it again not long after that, like 5 min.

Back on my old 1986 FZ600 I maxed it out at just under 145... that was INSANE... I think I'll keep it at/ under 70 for the rest of my life! just had to do it once... and I'm glad I did cuz I prolly wont ever do it again lol!
