Is it possible to swap in an 04 gsx-r 600 motor into a 1990 GS500E? I've looked around but not found any useful information. Anyone heard of such a swap or have a link they can refer me to?

why would you in the 1st place? and i dont think theres enough room with out seriously modding the frame. And thats just from looking at my brothers gs 500 vs his gsxr 600

i tried to slip a gs frame over an old kat 600 motor about a year back and the motor was too tall

I (briefly) thought about going the other way... a 500 into an R1, damn good looking bikes but way to much power.

No room for carbs, no room for airbox, not high enough cradle,not wide enough cradle,basically major weld job before attempting, so i would say what davipu said :)
