Title: Installing the WileyCo (pics)
Post by: Ry_Guy on June 24, 2005, 07:23:05 PM
Here it is.

The stock pipe. Use your new pipe cutter and cut it 2 inches past the weld, towards the exhaust.

Fitting the flange on takes a little sandpaper, whacking around, and a couple beers. Probably the hardest part. After you install the entire exhaust back on the bike, you'll need to jostle it around some more before bolting on the WileyCo can.

Presto. Rejet the carbs and upgrade your air filter.

Then put on your NEW WILEYCO HAT, WILEYCO KEYCHAIN, and WILEYCO SHIRT!
Gee, Thanks WileyCo!

And thanks to Srinath too! Sorry no pic available for you man. But I don't think you'll mind.

And thanks to Eva for moral support.

I had more than a couple beers.

Great photos, I will be installing mine as soon as I recieve my flange from srinath. Thanks for the info, i cant wait to put mine on, and the K&N pod, and the stage 3 jet kit and see how it runs!!!

One question though, what do you do about the centerstand stopper?? There is not one on the new flange?

Good question. The centerstand stopper had to come off with the stock exhaust. I haven't really done anything about it. It seems to rest fine on the frame. Not sure if that's a good idea or bad, but I'll find out.

that's awesome!  great hat!

By the way, I'm a carb n00b (only worked on cars with EFI or CIS systems before I got into bikes), and what exactly does rejetting entail?

Is it just replacing the jets on the carbs with different ones?

Never tell a guy his zipper is down. It's his problem - you didn't see anything.
