I've still got the toolkit that came with the bike and yet am still unable to adjust the shock.  I couldn't find a way to get the gizmo past all of the other bits in the way.

Hopefully someone will post some tricks, tips and photos of how this is supposed to work.  The instructions in the manual are terrible.

i tried using the tool and couldn't get it to work without taking the wheel off.  I didn't feel like doing that so i used a long pry bar... probably 2' - 2 1/2' long and just stuck it in through one of the slots and turned it while a buddy held the bike steady.

Good luck...

i just did mine yesterday...

first put it on the center stand

then you should see a plastic guard right by it(preventing the wheel from throwing stuff up)....remove, its 2 screws

you then need 2 tools, the C-ish clamp thing and the thing with a circle on one end and a slit on the other

first get the C into the furthest slot possible, then insert end of C into opening of slit

push to the right...may take a couple pushes to get desired effect

hope that helps

Use a long punch and a hammer. You might use a 6-inch 3/8ths driver extension and the hammer. See my second post on the second page:

And here's some other ideas:

easiest thing to do go to the bike shop buy a proper shock spanner they are much thinner then the standard tool and they are cheap and they make the job so much easier it will take you 30 seconds to adjust it :thumb:
