Title: OMG ! I Kreamed my tank !
Post by: scottpA_GS on July 03, 2005, 08:26:08 AM
Anyone use Kream in their tank ?

I used it in mine.. there was gas in it for 10 years. I used the kit as directed. Now I just wounder, it worked ok but the tank looks like crap inside.. Just around the spout part mostly, not really rusty, but not very nice.. I will try and take a pic.

Anyway... anyone else use Kream?

Anyone ever have their tank re-coated professionaly? If so where?

:) thanks

Professionally - hell no ... I have had kreem jobs done by shops ... the worst thing ever ... I prefer to DIY ,,, and Use the FAQ page and do it. BTW Starwalt was going to add to that ... lemme see maybe he did ...
Cool.

Not yet. I have just finished editing the photos I took. Using POR-15 with a Srinath step added, I've been letting the stuff cure before pressure testing the tank. I will post a separate thread in a week or two.

Let's just say the crap pockets are well filled with tank liner.  8)

Srinath, when you coming to see D?  Or did I miss it?

I had mine done professionally by a place called Roppel's here in Louisville.  They do interior coatings on tanks of all sizes.  After a week and $100 my very rusty gas tank came back clean and good looking.  I first took it to a Suzuki dealership who was going to charge me $159 until I found out they were just going to sent it out to Roppel's...so I decided to cut them out of the loop.

Oh ... OK  :guns:  :guns:  :guns:  POR 15 ...
I am opting for the lazy method ... Ken should be picking it up ... and I'll get it off him in a couple days ... Ken should've got it yesterday actually ...
Cool.
